Gardening Club’s First Crop

Yielding great results

The SEN team have recently set up a gardening club and 10 students from years 7-10 have been enjoying a little cultivation.

The Gardening club has been set up thanks to funding via the London Children’s Flower Society in affiliation with the Jack Petchey Foundation. The school made an application to the Planting in the Playground Project and was one of 30 schools chosen to receive £500 worth of tools, equipment and soil/seeds to set up a green space in our school.

The credentials are truly green and the mini allotment has provided much pleasure and pride.

The students’ efforts have culminated in a healthy crop of radish and new potatoes that they get to take home to share with family and friends.
