Students in all years study Creative Design. In years 9, 10 and 11 they choose which Creative Design subject they wish to specialise in for a GCSE or BTEC qualification. In Years 12 and 13 students choose an area of Creative Design to study in more depth for AS and A2 Level.
Creative Design subjects use inspiration from artists and designers to motivate original ideas in a variety of techniques.
Experimental work and independent choices are key to each student’s success. Extra-curricular opportunities include after school clubs, entering national competitions e.g. The Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square 2010.
Shows include our annual BTEC Evening where we show excellence in Fashion, Art, Product Design and Food. The Summer Show is an evening of all GCSE and A Level students celebrating their achievement. The Mayor attends and parents, staff, governors and students are proud to talk about their work and plans for the future.
